2023 Great Tree Summit 10th Anniversary

Celebrating a decade of Taking Root at the annual Great Tree Summit
What a wonderful gathering of individuals, communities, and organizations who work towards a shared vision of planting new trees and preserving existing trees so that we all benefit from a healthy tree canopy
Our fantastic speakers included:
Joe Boggs — our keynote speaker, from the Ohio State University Extension Spoke about Weird things in the Woods He regaled us all with easily mistaken diseases, amazing insect and copycats to watch for as we walk through the woods.
Chuck Keller — president, Ft Thomas Forest Conservancy, kept us all enthralled with history and happenings in and around Ft Thomas. Visit the Ft Thomas Forest Conservancy website.
And last, but certainly not least, Betsy Kruthhoffer — cataloger and rare book librarian. Betsy talked about their event Sylvan Roots a celebration of Trees, and introduced the audience to the treasured books that the Lloyd library has maintained, some of which are hundreds of years old. Read more about the Lloyd Library.
