Christ the King Lutheran Church

This mini grant recipient plans to create high quality native woodland, to provide good fauna habitat, insects and educational opportunities. The mini grant recipients have two acres to reforest, with existing mature trees and invasive species. Christ the King Lutheran Church will plant a variety of eighteen native shrubs & forbs. Within the two acres, there is both upland & lowland areas, to demonstrate a variety of environments. There are trails throughout this area for easy educational access.  The grant will be used to purchase trees from local nurseries specializing in natives. As a church, taking care of the earth is very important to these mini grant recipients.
