If you’d like to organize a tree-planting project for October’s National Make a Difference Day, Taking tea,can help ensure your project’s success whether you are a small or large group.

ThTeam offers advice and contact information for anyone wanting to plant trees on Make a Difference Day. We can provide information on fundraising, volunteer recruitment, appropriate tree selection, tree planting, and toolkit essentials for a successful planting event by your organization or in your community.

We also coordinate an annual tree sale exclusively for mad planters that includes a selection of native trees and under-story shrubs at close to wholesale prices from an excellent supplier.

Contact the mad Team for information or we would be happy to speak to your organization directly.

National Make a Difference Day – October 24, 2020

Deadline to order trees is October 2nd, 2020.

Fall is a particularly good time to plant — the roots get a chance to grow before the soil gets too cold while the plant itself is not too stressed by heat or drought.

Tree Pick-up
Trees will be available for pick-up on Wednesday and Thursday, October 21st and 22nd near the Gray Road Entrance (5073 Gray Rd.) of Spring Grove Cementery from 4pm to 6pm when Spring Grove locks their gates. If you’ve picked up before it is in the same place. Details will be sent with confirmation of order

When you’ve planted your National Make a Difference Day trees, share it with us by sending a photo to our email address and don’t forget to register your tree with Taking Root.
