The City of Wyoming Mini Grant Project

The Mini Grant recipient, The City of Wyoming, completed their conservation project on May 1st, 2020. Taking Root awarded The City of Wyoming $2000 for the ecological endeavors. The City of Wyoming planted 24 trees, reforested 3 acres, and cleared 3 acres of non native plant species. Wyoming continues efforts to plant native trees in Stearns Woods, which was recently cleared of invasive species. The City also recently repaired the natural stream corridor through the woods, which had been dammed by a previous owner.

The City of Wyoming Public Works Department and the Wyoming Urban Forestry & Beautification Commission will continue to maintain this green area.
